Ja mam wywiad z Vivy Zwei jak Brian Molko zapytany o "the most beautiful men "? powiedział Richey Manic ale później panowie Molko i Wire chyba za sobą nie przepadali były tam jakieś kometarze...
Dennis Lyxzen (wokalista Refused i The International Noise Conspiracy) , ( też wywiad na vivie zwei ) miał wybrać sexy videos i jednym z dwóch było "You love us" , które wtedy poleciało naturalnie ku mojemu zadowoleniu |

Na forum FD był kiedyś taki temat , jak ktoś chce poczytać wystarczy wpisać w "Search" hasło: what people said.
Ja przytoczę wypowiedź niejakiego/niejakiej Swoon na temat Briana Molko i jego słów o Manics :
>>The more extreme letters say, 'When I listen to your records I don't have to cut myself too much.' I think a lot of the people who were fascinated by Richey Manic are becoming fascinated with Placebo." [ wygląda z tego postu, że to wypowiedź Molko ale jakoś dziwnie mi to brzmi... ]
You're inheriting that cult?
"I don't know. I'm certainly a big Manics fan. I love the way they came on the scene with their manifesto and their complete political incorrectness. But first and foremost their intelligence and dedication to meaning something. Not being mindless. Read a fucking book, you know?"
So where exactly do you stand on all that then, you "young heterosexual",you?
"Right...OK...OK, lets put it this way - I like girls who look like boys and boys who look like girls. When I see photos of Kate Moss, I kind of... crumble, and when I see photos of Richey Manic it has the same effect on me."
Scary. Are you worried about becoming the spokesman for the disaffected? The new Richey?
"There've been girls that I've seen in Manics documentaries that I've then seen in the front row of our shows," Brian imparts. "I do think that torch has been passed over but it's not my fault. It's not by design in any way. But it's probably because we appeal to outsiders and the world needs bands like that.

Carpe diem: Do you like the Manic Street Preachers and XXXXXXXXXX?
Brian: Manic Street Preachers definitely much more. Before he disappeared I became quite fascinated with Richey Manic. I think he’s probably one of the most beautiful men that has, kind of , been around in rock. I have read a lot about what’s going on and I’ve kind of seen quite a few documentaries about him, you know, and I think, I was talking to Stefan about it the other day and I think he was a very, very heavy soul, very, very heavy soul. I’m convinced he’s still alive, you know, he’s done it like Rimbaud, the poet who disappeared.
Carpe diem: I don’t think he’s dead either.
Brian: No, he’s too strong for that.
Carpe diem: I think it is absolutely possible to disappear just like that.
Brian: You know, Rimbaud did all this poetry up until the age of 20 and then disappeared and went off to join the slave trade and nobody heard of him again. I think he’s done something like that, really. But he had such a heavy soul. He’s carrying, like, you know, couldn’t stop himself from carrying the weight of humanity and sort of like the evil that human beings do to each other, on his shoulders and the last interview he did, he became very obsessive with concentration camps and he dressed like that, had a shaved head and concentration camp style pyjamas. I can sort of see how he just could not understand or could not handle the sort of humans capacity, the human beings capacity for just total evil to each other.
Carpe diem: Do you also think there was a lot of pressure on him by being in the music biz?
Brian: Probably, probably. He used to drink a lot to sleep and I can kind of understand that as well. Usually a lot of the reasons why I kind of abuse my body towards the end of the day is because, sometimes it gets very, very difficult to shut my brain off. I used to kind of suffer from a lot of really bad dreams so I used to try and sort of drink myself, slope myself to a kind of state where I could just have deep sleep and not remember my dreams or not be able to collapse and then not have to spend 2 or 3 hours rolling around, tossing and turning, thinking, analysing myself and my life and my motivations. You know, I can understand that, too. And he was very beautyful just physically as well, very beautiful.
Carpe diem: What do you think about those Manics fans that blame them for continuing now?
Brian: No, they have to. Life goes on. The show must go on and life goes on and it’s good, it’s different, it’s as good as it was before, you know, and it’s Nicky’s music as much as Richey’s really, as well. I think it’s probably the mature Manic Street Preachers now, the well-dressed Manic Street Preachers! Manic Street Preachers with strings. "Kevin Carter" is, like, fucking amazing! That’s my favourite track on the album, yeah, that trumpet solo and that lovely, kind of, Sixties choral stuff going on.<<
.......................................................................................................
Jednak Brianek zmodyfikował później swoje opinie o Manics , zapewne po tym jak Nicky zaczął wygłaszać niepochlebne opinie na jego temat, przekręcał jego nazwisko czy tez udawał, że nie wie co to Placebo
Z wywiadu z B.Molko z początku 2003 roku:
"Q: What about MSP?
BM: I've never liked them. I think that they are dummies, who can write good political statement, but they cannot fit it into the music. It doesn't work. It does not rhyme. It has no spirit, it's pathetic, horrible. They're probably just in love with themselves and with their image of left-winged band. They love it most, especially when they are driving Rolls-Royces..
Q: I did an interview with them in a 5* hotel, where they stayed...
BM: That's exactly it "
